Tours to Jordan
Tours to Jordan – I can recall few happier times than those when I was travelling through Jordan.
It’s a jewel – a small country, without an enormous population, but with a wealth of sights and treasures.
The landscapes are what move me the most. Of course, being part of the Middle East, you tend to think of barren, desert terrain – and there’s plenty of that.

But even then it has the potential to surprise. Take the dunes of Wadi Rum – they’re other worldly, sweeping sands interspersed with rocks protruding from the ground and fierce blood red sands.
If you look close enough, you’ll even find ancient rock art on the stone.
Desert is just one of the remarkable aspects of Jordan’s landscapes – beyond that you’ll find that rolling, verdant hillside in the north, where the olive trees grow proud (and produce oil that rivals the very best), and breathtaking valley terrain with high mountains and miraculous stretches of water giving life to the flora and fauna.
There’s even coastline. There’s the Dead Sea, for one area – and how many places in the world can boast a salt sea with warmth all the year around?
And there’s also a few precious miles of Red Sea coast to the south, where the beauty of the shimmering waters is only bettered by the marine life in the corals underneath.
You can’t help but be captivated by it all!
