Bardo Museum
The Bardo is one of the finest museums in all of North Africa and the Middle East. The building is home to some of the most magnificent Roman mosaics recovered all across the country, as well as a host of ornate and carefully crafted statues. On top of this the museum itself is an intriguing building. With roots back to the 13th century as a Hafsid Palace, the Bardo Museum has staggering ceilings to go with the collection of mosaics adorning the floors and walls, and makes for a captivating visit.
