Wadi Mujib
The Mujib Valley is another of Jordan’s most captivating landscapes. The King’s Highway wends an improbable path through it, including a crossing along the dam if one heads that way. But though most simply pass by in the car, or choose to spend their time by the Dead Sea, the nature reserve here is well worth further exploration. The RSCN control it, and there are superb walks along the gorge which runs through it, following the trails of the rare Jordanian Ibex which live in the valley, and rising to points from which the views of the Dead Sea are most impressive.
