The Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is a tranquil spot in northern Jordan with some excellent hotels dotted along the coast. Given its position as the lowest point on earth, some 300 metres below sea level, the weather is always considerably warmer than nearby Amman, which makes it a great place to visit all the year around. Nearby is the Dead Sea Panorama, which has both sumptuous views and a range of interesting exhibits on the geographical conditions which have come together to form the Dead Sea, and also the situation which has seen the water levels recede over the last half a decade.
