The Egyptian Museum

No visit to Egypt is complete without a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to the most staggering collection of archaeological finds from all over the country. Such are the numbers of treasures recovered over the years that the museum is only about to display about a fifth of them at any given time. What they do showcase, however, is extraordinary. A highlight are the treasures of Tutankhamun’s tomb, which have their dedicated room, but this is merely the tip of an iceberg, as the collected finds of thousands of years of dynasties fill every available space, telling the history of the country through its treasures.
