Zambian Safari

A Zambian Safari is very different to many other types of safari offered in Africa.

Firstly, there are still huge tracts of Zambia that one can explore without seeing other tourists. There are not many places in Africa left that one can say this! In kafue and the Busanga Plains in particular – one can often spend time in this unique region amongst supreme wildlife. There is a fantastic array of camps to choose from too.

Then north Luangwa is another favourite of ours, especially for those who are interested in walking safaris. Which brings me to my next point – Zambia is really home to the walking safari. Nobody does it as well as they do – walking from one area to another, arriving at a camp already set up, complete with cold drinks! These are not route marches, rather an informative and wonderful way to get closer to the earth, learn about the trees and plants, ecology as a whole, as well as both seeing and learning about wildlife around you. This can be combined with game drives if you wish at the end of your safari and we would also highly recommend the lower Zambezi, which is a fitting end to a perfect safari. These areas also provide huge contrast – and the quality of guiding in Zambia is superb, too!
