Safaris to Botswana
Safaris to Botswana offer the traveller a very different experience. As long as one keeps out of the national parks and game reserves, the majority of lodges and camps sit on their own private concessions. The upside of course, is that only a certain amount of people are allowed on any one piece of land, which makes your viewing an unparallelled and pristine wildlife experience! These hige tracts of land, with just you and perhaps another of the camp’s vehicles. Of course, one pays a premium for this, but its absolutely worth it!
Then, you have the most magical diversity of scenery. The Okavango Delta is a real jewel, offering not only the most sublime birding, but also fantastic wildlife opportunities, including peeking at unique species such as the sitatunga antelope, a shy, water adapted antelope which is incredibly beautiful. You also have gorgeous walking here too. The delta is most famous for its mokoro safaris, where one can glide along the floodplains, being poled by your poler. Add to this a visit to Chobe – Savute or northern Chobe and you have the most incredible and different wildlife experiences. Apart from game viewing by open 4 x 4 vehicle, one can also game view by mokoro or canoe, on foot, on horseback (Bostwana offers some of the finest horse riding safaris in Africa) as well on elephant back.
Add to this the desert, where one can horse ride with one of the finest guides in Botswana, or spend time walking wiht the bushmen, seeing the habituated meerkat as well as desert adapted species, it makes for the most mesmerising safari.
Finally, you can end off at Victoria Falls or on the coast in Mozambique. The options are endless! With over 23 years of experience and staff from Botswana, we can tailor make your perfect Botswana Safari!
