Below is simply a guide and we would urge you to contact us to discuss in full which months you are travelling in and where to, because although we have set out this information below, each country, and in turn, each area, comes into its own at certain times of year.
- Game viewing in East Africa - best months - late June-October.
- Game viewing in southern Africa - best months - June-December (One of our favourite months for viewing game in Botswana is February, and April and May are two of our favourite months again in Botswana, Zambia and southern Tanzania.)
- Birdwatching - September through to end of March.
- Walking - this can only be done in the dry months due to the length of grass-ie: your visibility should be acute! So, June to October for Africa although this can be extended in East Africa in the Selous and Katavi.
- Gorillas- Throughout the year except for April and May and mid October to November due to the rains.
- Mountain Climbing - January/February and August/September are excellent times to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Meru and Mount Kenya.
